ADAM PALMER

BIOGRAPHY

A native of Nevada who now calls Nashville home, Adam Palmer began playing musical instruments at 13 years of age. By the time he was 16, Palmer was playing guitar, banjo, mandolin and piano. His passion for music eventually led to a passion for songwriting and the formation of a musical duo with fellow musician Matthew Hein in 2004.

Palmer soon began writing and playing worship nights at his church, Calvary Chapel Carson City, which eventually lead to a 7-year stint as the worship pastor for his church. Through his time at Calvary Chapel Carson City, Palmer connected with fellow musicians in the area and I Am They, a contemporary Christian music band, was formed in 2011.

Although Palmer has no formal training, he has been able to emulate the musicians who influenced him most–such as John Mayer, Nickel Creek, Jon Foreman, One Republic–to write much of the music that inspired I Am They to release their first album under Essential Music, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment. I Am They’s self-titled debut album garnered a Dove Award Nomination for New Artist in 2015.

After a move from Nevada to Music City, Palmer signed with Bridge Music to focus on his songwriting and venture further into both the English and Spanish CCM markets. Follow Adam and his songwriting career on Twitter and Instagram.
